Biokraft commissions the world's largest biomethane liquefaction unit and doubles its capacity to produce liquefied biomethane (Bio-LNG)
Stockholm on 24 August 2023 - Biokraft passed a major milestone today when the newly built liquefaction plant, connected to our biogas plant in Södertörn, delivered its first batch of bio-LNG. The shipment consisted of 34 tons of bio-LNG to be used by trucks in northern Europe. A filled container holds 17 tons of bio-LNG which is enough for fossil-free driving with a fully loaded long-haul truck for approximately 50,000 kilometers.

OMV Petrom obtained financing through NPRR to produce green hydrogen at the Petrobrazi refinery in Brazii, Romania
OMV Petrom, the largest integrated energy company in Southeast Europe, announces the signing of a financing contract through the National Plan for Recovery and Resilience for the construction of a hydrogen production capacity by water electrolysis at the Petrobrazi refinery. The contract was signed with the Ministry of Energy, for a maximum value of about EUR 39 million, the total investment being estimated at about EUR 74 million.
